Anemia

Anemia is the lack of functional red blood cells in the body and is common in Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). Symptoms include feeling unusually tired, weak or short of breath. There are many forms of anemia, with a variety of underlying causes. It can range from mild to severe. In chronic kidney disease anemia can be due to deficiency in epogen which can be given to patients and it improves the anemia. It can also be due to iron deficiency which can be replaced.
